Job Summary
- Issue and follow-up of purchase orders with suppliers (for products and logistical services) within the framework negotiated by Procurement and Logistics
- Ensuring through continuous demand screening and follow up that the right product is delivered at the right place at the right place.
- Maintenance of basic item data in the ERP system of Purchased Items
- Monitor capacity constraints with suppliers and develop proactive solutions
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluation of demand and purchase proposals based on a master schedule
- Generation and follow up of purchase orders for Traded Goods & Intercompany orders taking into consideration demand, actual stock levels, lead time and specifications (artwork..)
- Evaluate & recommends actions to improve on time delivery to the customer
- Analyze demand requirements to identify supply bottleneck in case of capacity constraints and priority setting in consultation with customer service
- Organization & follow up of transport for inbound shipments (including direct deliveries to the customer)
- Advice & support internal departments in transport related issues
- Optimization of logistic services
- Works closely with providers to assure efficient and effective execution of defined processes & goods transportation
- Coordinate with other departments to achieve inventory goals
- Handling Logistic Complaints Traded goods
- Responds to Customer Service & Sales when there are supply issues
- Review , update and maintain logistic item data parameters and MPS parameters
- Handle communication and information to customer service with regard to shipments. Follow-up in case of urgencies and act pro-active.
- Management and validation of local data and logistic and MPS parameters
Qualifications
Education:
- At least Bachelor degree (economics, administration)
Work Experience:
- 2 or more years work experience in similar field (supply chain, planning)
- Prior international or Export/Import experience is a plus.
Technical Skills: (Certification, Licenses and Registration)
- PC Knowledge MS Office
- Experienced with ERP systems
- Knowledge of inventory planning and basic logistic concepts
- Knowledge of Incoterms and their implication on logistical flows
- Strong critical thinking
- Excellent team participation skills
- Analytical and logic skills
Language / Communication Skills:
- Effective communication and negotiating skills
- Result oriented and flexible personality
- No silo mentality
- Strong customer focus
Fluent in English (written & spoken); any of these languages a plus: French, German, Spanish
